Not only does Gitschberg Jochtal boast 25 slopes and 15 lifts, but it also has truly sun-drenched ski slopes and wonderful views of the Puster Valley, Eisack Valley and the Dolomites. The panoramic platform is particularly worth seeing – you can get to know South Tyrol's mountains by name here and learn how high they are. Of course, we shouldn’t forget the three children's parks – magic carpets included! You can have great fun learning to ski and snowboard here. It's best to book a group course or private lessons for this.

Tobogganing, cross-country skiing, ski touring

Four toboggan runs offer endless fun. The natural toboggan run in Vals is one kilometre long and covers 152 metres in altitude. Furthermore, Vals as a natural valley is perfect for ski tours and winter hikes. If parents want to take a little free time, they can head to the cross-country skiing track. Cross-country skiing is perfect for anyone looking for an alternative to jogging in the cold season – you’re still running, only it feels a thousand times faster. On the 5-kilometre-long cross-country skiing track in Vals, a winter landscape of glittering meadows and quiet, snow-covered forests awaits you. If you are looking for a challenging cross-country skiing tour, the Rodenecker-Lüsner Alm is the perfect place covering 25 km in distance and 300 metres in altitude, it offers excellent training.
